This expedition will take travelers to one of the most preserved spots in Pantanal followed by a fabulous journey to the premium tours of Bonito. Gathering comfortable accommodations, top naturalist guides/leaders, delightful meals and well-coordinated operations, this trip provides the most amazing travel experience at two extraordinary natural environments.
Day by Day
Day 01 – Campo Grande / Pantanal Lodge
Arrival at Campo Grande Airport and depart straight on transfer to your lodge in Pantanal. Presentation of the facilities, check-in and afternoon tour to explore the amazing nature of the surroundings. Dinner & overnight.
Days 02 & 03 - Pantanal Lodge
Located at singular preserved areas in Pantanal, the lodges chosen for this expedition shelters amazing nature and offers several tours for travelers to explore the Pantanal environment. Full days of activities exploring different areas and habitats searching for wildlife, always escorted by experienced local guides. Walking, horseback riding, motorboat excursions, canoe explorations, safaris on 4WD vehicle, fishing and cultural activities are normally the tours available and there are great chances to spot an enormous variety of birds and wildlife.
Day 04 - Pantanal / Bonito
Depart after breakfast from Pantanal to Bonito. Check-in at Hotel in Bonito, afternoon/evening at leisure.
Day 05, Bonito
Drive to Rio da Prata, elected several times as the number 1 attraction in Bonito. The tour starts with a walk through the riverine forest until the Olho d’Água River Spring, a huge natural pool of crystal-clear waters. Equipped with neoprene clothes, mask & snorkel, travelers “float” downstream snorkeling at this magical natural aquarium for around 2km. Tour ends with a delicious lunch at the main facilities. Afternoon drive to Buraco das Araras (Macaws’ Sinkhole), a natural crater with 124 meters deep and 500 meters diameter carved at the brazilian Cerrado where a large group of Red-and-Green Macaws nests and live. Travelers will be able to observe the great activity of those amazing birds and several other species. Return do hotel.
Day 06, Bonito
Pick up after breakfast and transfer to the Blue Lagoon Cave. The beauty of the lagoon and geological formations of the cave are worthwhile. Proceed directly to Estância Mimosa, a beautiful spot on the margins of Rio Mimoso replete with pristine nature and several waterfalls. Delicious lunch will be served by arrival. Tour by afternoon, a pleasant walk birding through the gallery forests getting to several spots where travelers can swim and relax in marvelous waterfalls, cascades and natural pools. Return to Bonito, evening at leisure.
Day 07 – Bonito / Campo Grande
After breakfast, departure back to Campo Grande. End of the Pantanal & Bonito Highlights trip.
